My Story

My first name is Sha’ (pronounced ‘shaye’) and my last name is Cannon (like BOOM… well, like a cannonball). I’ve been an entrepreneur, in one way or another, since my days in middle school selling candy to schoolmates in Birmingham, Alabama. 

In high school, you are guided to go to college, get a “good” job and live happily ever after. I did all the things… and against great odds and statistics! I graduated from college early with honors that included magna cum laude. Despite raising 3 sons, working a full time job, AND a part time job. Entering the legal field, I rose through the ranks of my association to become a respected leader; winning awards and being published in trade publications.

My lucrative career spanned 10 years across two Fortune 100 law firms. It was a good life… all the things. But it wasn’t the freedom that called me. I had been writing, ghostwriting, self-publishing, and coaching for small business experts since 2015. I preferred a life free from the constraints of corporate America all together, so I leaned into my first love… entrepreneurship. 

In 2017, I left corporate America a year ahead of schedule to become a fulltime entrepreneur. A serial-preneur, I had experience with both product-based and service-based businesses. I weaved together my varied skill sets to get small businesses unstuck and restructured for growth and scale. I always say that I was raised in Birmingham, Alabama but my business was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. 

In 2018, I left the United States to live and work my business from different places in the world, starting in Belize. It was during my time in my second country, Mexico, that I decided an exotic location was not enough. The experience I wanted to design was a “life on vacation”. You see, on vacation, you don’t take on domestic duties. You focus on doing what you love and having great experiences like learning about the culture, history, and people where you are. THAT was the life I wanted. 

To enjoy a world of new and exciting experiences, you have to be intentional to actually have those experiences. I created my business around that freedom… around my “life on vacation”. For the past year, I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina. However, I am currently living my purpose on purpose in my favorite little beach town, Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico. 

I often share my life and travels on social media. I want you to know that it is fulfilling as it looks, but I’m not showing off! Instead, my life is proof positive that it’s possible for you too. 

I believe that building a business around the life design that you want leads to freedom and fulfillment that can be funded by your business. I believe that YOU can design a fulfilling life funded by YOUR business. If you are open to it, I’d love to share with YOU my methods on just how to do it.
